Diocesan
Financial Services provides
comprehensive support to Diocesan and
visiting clergy alike. Whether it
be offering guidance on a motor vehicle
trade-in or helping to plan for life
beyond active ministry, we pride
ourselves on offering the highest level
of service to all of our clergy.
Since
priests are not entitled to
“employer” superannuation
contributions, the Diocese takes on the
responsibility of meeting many living
costs for priests in their twilight
years. Given that the costs to
maintain even a basic standard of living
for some priests can be quite high with,
for example, the need for advanced
health care, any financial assistance
the Diocese receives is extremely
helpful. It is for this reason
that the Rockhampton Clergy Support
Foundation was established in 2000.
